Hunting Conditions

RM585 Unit 17B&C Winter Hunt

1) Season Dates: December 1 - December 31

2) Open Areas: Units 17B and 17C, except west of the Wood River along the south shore of the Wood River and the south shore of Lake Aleknagik, north through Pike Creek to the south shore of Little Togiak Lake, west to the Unit 17A boundary, south to the headwaters of the Weary River, down the Weary River to the Snake River and from the Snake River to Bristol Bay and north to the Wood River.

4) Bag Limit: 1 antlered bull in Units 17B and 17C

5) Reporting: Permittees must call and file a hunt report by phone (907-842-2334) within 3 days of killing a moose.
-Unsuccessful hunters and those who did not hunt must return their report cards within 15 days of the close of the season.

6) Remember:
-You may kill only one (1) moose per regulatory year in Units 17B and 17C
-You must carry your permit with you while you are hunting.

7) PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO REPORT:
If you fail to report, you will not be eligible to receive any permits (Draw, Tier II or Registration, including Tier I) during the next regulatory year. In addition, your name will be turned over to the Alaska Wildlife Troopers for enforcement action.
