Reporting Requirements

Successful Hunters
- Must report in person or by phone to ADF&G in Petersburg within 5 days of kill.
- Specimens Required: Lower front teeth (on 5-inch section of jaw)

Must return the completed hunt report to ADF&G, or report online at hunt.alaska.gov, within 15 days of close of season. -

Hunting Conditions
HUNT AREA: Unit 3, Etolin Island and smaller associated islands in the area bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of Stikine Strait and Clarence Strait, running southeast following the midline of Clarence Strait, down to its intersection with Ernest Sound, then northeast following the midline of Ernest Sound, excluding the Niblack Islands, to its intersection with Zimovia Strait, then northwest following the western shoreline of Zimovia Strait to its intersection with Chichagof Passage, then west along the midline of Chichagof Passage to its intersection with Stikine Strait, then southwest along the midline of Stikine Strait, back to the point of beginning.
SEASON DATES: November 15 - November 30
LEGAL ANIMAL: One bull elk
PERMIT, LICENSE, LOCKING-TAG, TAG RECORD: While hunting you must have in your possession your signed RE325 permit, current hunting license, and - if you are a nonresident - a big game metal locking tag for elk and associated Big Game Tag Record.
IF YOU KILL AN ELK:
-- You must immediately validate your permit by cutting out the month and date of harvest. If you are a nonresident, before leaving the kill site, you must affix your metal locking tag onto a part of the animal required to be salvaged.
-- Reporting harvest: You must report in person or by phone to ADF&G in Petersburg within 5 days of kill.
-- Specimen submission: You must submit the lower front teeth (on a 5-inch section of jaw) to ADF&G in Petersburg, Douglas, or Ketchikan. We also request that you send a photo of the elk antlers to hilary.wood@alaska.gov.
IF YOU DO NOT KILL AN ELK, OR DO NOT HUNT: You must submit a completed permit report to ADF&G, or report online at http://hunt.alaska.gov, within 15 days of close of season.
IF YOU FAIL TO REPORT AS REQUIRED: You will not be eligible to receive any permits next regulatory year and may face additional enforcement action.
