During the last 14 days we have received locations for 3 bearded and 3 spotted seals. Three of the tagged seals are in the central Bering Sea, between St. Paul and St. Matthew islands, near remnant sea ice. The other three seals are in coastal waters of Alaska (Norton Sound and near Kuskokwim Bay) and Russia (Anadyr Gulf). Sea ice data are courtesy of the NASA Rapid Response Network, dated 1 May (https://earthdata.nasa.gov/earth-observation-data/near-real-time/rapid-response/modis-subsets).
