Welcome to the Community Subsistence Information System: CSIS

The Community Subsistence Information System (CSIS) is a central repository of information on contemporary subsistence uses within Alaskan communities developed by the Division of Subsistence, Alaska Department of Fish and Game. This system has been designed to serve as a principal reference source for recent, reliable, summary information about the subsistence uses within the economies of rural Alaskan communities. The primary components of this system are the CSIS data downloader for tabular harvest information, the Alaska Subsistence Fisheries Database (ASFDB) data downloader for tabular harvest information sourced exclusively from annual subsistence fishery harvest monitoring efforts and the Subsistence Data hub, which provides a variety of spatially explicit dashboards and story maps depicting various aspects of subsistence and subsistence research across the state.
