Location
Southwestern Kodiak Island includes Halibut Bay, Grants Lagoon, Bumble Bay and the headwaters of the Ayakulik River. See area map.
Topography and Habitat
Rolling hills to 1602'and bench lands intersected with numerous drainages, small ponds and lakes. Grass and tundra hummocks flats make up the lower elevations with interspersed alder and willow thickets.
Land Ownership
Most of the area is within the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge with some private inholdings and Koniag Inc. lands along the coast.
